The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent to the law on education for examination to the Venice Commission
The government of Ukraine has sent the law on education for examination to the Venice Commission – an Advisory body on constitutional law at the Council of Europe, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in the air of a talk show Right to Vlad.
“Today, I sent this law, as agreed, for consideration by the Venetian Commission”, – said the Minister.
Klimkin also noted that the law was aimed on September 28 as the day he joined the force, and was also produced its translation.
Earlier it was reported that Klimkin was summoned for consultations Ukrainian Ambassador to Hungary Love Nepop in connection with the position of Budapest on the Ukrainian law on education.
We will remind, on September 25, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on education, according to which the language of educational process in educational institutions is the Ukrainian language. The language of national minorities will be used in the elementary grades, and in grades 5-9 will be entered several items in the Ukrainian language of teaching.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Hungary péter Szijjártó said that Budapest will block further rapprochement of Ukraine and EU in the framework of the Eastern partnership because of the Ukrainian educational law.
