The last British fighter Sea Vixen crashed. Video

The incident occurred in the town of Duxford, UK.

The last British fighter Sea Vixen XP924 crashed trying to land after performing at an air show at Duxford.

Video of the incident posted on YouTube.

The record shows that during the landing approach of the aircraft not moved chassis, the pilot was forced to land the fighter on the “belly” and eject, after which the aircraft caught fire.

In the signature to video it is noted that the pilot was not injured. The state of the aircraft is assessed.

Sea Vixen was of particular value to British aviation as it became the first British double deck fighter reached supersonic speed. He was in service aviation Royal Navy from 1959 to 1972. All were built 145 machines, but today in working condition was only one.
