Largest mobile operator of Ukraine Kyivstar launched Mobile ID into trial operation
This is stated in the press release of the operator.
Kyivstar notes that Mobile ID allows electronic identification for e-services.
The maintenance period will last from December 27, 2017 June 1, 2018. During this period a limited group of contract subscribers will experience the service before its commercial launch in the second quarter of next year.
At the time of trial operation users service Mobile ID is available the ability of electronic identification to obtain services registries and online Gosgeokadastr the house of justice.
Also, during the trial operation of Mobile ID will be explored, the uninterrupted operation of the service, interaction with systems of state-owned enterprises National information system and the ability of subscribers to identify a person using a mobile phone and a special SIM card.
“The platform service is running, it began to connect service providers who will provide electronic services, issued the first SIM card with a special chip, filed an application for state certification service, and we work to do the paperwork for the connection of Mobile ID as simple and convenient for our subscribers”, – said the Director for business development in the corporate market Kyivstar Eugene Cregan.
To connect the Mobile ID service, the subscriber must carry the SIM card to the new, which additionally provide support for increased protection of information in electronic identification of the user.
Mobile ID provides for the construction of infrastructure of interaction between systems, centers of certification of keys and various portals electronic interaction with citizens by making available to owners of mobile phones with special SIM cards with embedded identification algorithms. Since 2000, these services introduced in most EU countries, and also Moldova, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Kazakhstan.
With the help of technology Mobile ID the mobile users will be able to put an electronic signature to documents, make payment of services to access secure electronic documents through their mobile phone.
