Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov commented on the conclusions of the Polish Commission about a possible explosion on Board the presidential plane Lech Kaczynski.

According to Peskov, the Kremlin does not know what the basis of the conclusions of the Polish governmental Commission about the explosion on Board the presidential Tu-154:

“No, we can’t comment on that, we don’t know what guided this Commission, on which it based its conclusions. Investigators have certain data and recording on Board, pilots, and dispatchers that such evidence does not contain. In this case, we do not know what could the Commission be guided” – quoted Peskov RIA Novosti news Agency.

April 10, government of Poland, the sub-Commission on investigation of the Smolensk disaster, said that on Board the presidential plane Tu-154 before the crash probably occurred the explosion of the thermobaric charge.

On the same day, Chairman of the Subcommittee on investigation of the Smolensk disaster Vaclav Barcinski stated that the plane of Polish President Kaczynski began to disintegrate long before the runway.

On 3 April, the Prosecutor’s office of Poland has formulated new accusations of Russian managers and third person in the tower control of flights in the investigation of the Smolensk disaster. In particular, the dispatchers attribute to deliberate actions that led to the catastrophe of the presidential plane.

On 10 April 2010 near Smolensk the plane crashed Tu-154, where President Lech Kaczynski and his wife and representatives of the high command and the political parties of Poland was flying in the ceremonies on the anniversary of the massacre of Polish officers in the Katyn forest.

The plane crash killed all 96 people, including 7 crew members. Despite the fact that, according to the findings of the Interstate aviation Committee, the cause of the accident began to wrong actions of the crew, many saw in the accident the hand of Moscow.

In 2015 the new government of Poland decided to return to the question of the catastrophe of Tu-154 of President Kaczynski. In early February 2016 Poland resumed the investigation of the crash.

In September it was decided to exhume all the victims of the Smolensk disaster.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said that Russia refuses to return to Poland the wreckage of the presidential Tu-154M. In this regard, in the near future Warsaw is going to submit to the international court in the Hague against Russia.
