Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is against the use of U.S. forces against North Korea.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is against the use of U.S. forces against North Korea. He said this at a press conference in Moscow.
“If the figure of speech used by the Vice-President of the United States, to understand the threat to use force unilaterally, it is a very risky way. We will not accept a nuclear-missile adventurous Pyongyang’s actions in violation of the resolutions of the UN security Council, but this does not mean that the same way you can violate international law, using force in violation of the UN Charter,” Lavrov said.
“I hope that unilateral actions like those we saw recently in Syria, will not” – he said.
Lavrov expressed hope that the U.S. will follow the line that President Donald trump “was repeatedly voiced during his election campaign.”
As reported, on April 17, Vice-President Mike Pence said that “the era of strategic patience,” USA “ended” against the DPRK because of its refusal to abandon its nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.
