The justice Department sued the Kyivenergo 54 million hryvnia

The court ordered Kyivenergo to pay damages to the state budget, incurred in the framework of litigation with the Golden Mandarin oil.

The economic court of Kiev satisfied the claim of Ministry of justice of Ukraine to Kyivenergo for compensation of payments to the state budget in the framework of the decisions of the European court of human rights (ECHR) in the amount of more than UAH 54 mln. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry with reference to the Deputy Minister of justice, Svetlana Glushchenko.

“For 3 months, during which continued the preparatory proceedings, the Ministry of justice provided all of the evidence, including the originals of payment orders testifying to the legality of the payment of the company Golden Mandarin oil 54 million UAH”, – she noted.

We will remind, the company Golden Mandarin oil paid more than 54 million UAH from the state budget within the framework of the ECHR decision on the repayment of debt for mazut M-100, which was in the custody of the state-owned company Kyivenergo CHP No. 5. However, after 2017, 100% of the shares in Kyivenergo became the property of DTEK Rinat Akhmetov, the Ministry of justice sent a recourse to Kyivenergo with the requirement to reimburse the funds paid to the state budget.

NABOO in this case, suspects Ministry officials of embezzlement of state funds. The Ministry of justice claim that the payments were legitimate.

In October 2017, the ECHR overturned the consideration of this case in connection with the “peaceful settlement of the dispute”.
