The Japanese buyers will be able to pay with bitcoins

A corresponding law is in force.

One of the largest network of electronics stores in Japan — Big Camera — April 7 will begin to accept bitcoins. On Wednesday, April 5.

The company signed a cooperation agreement with the bitcoin exchange bitFlyer, which has helped to develop a system of payment. In the first stage, customers will be able to pay with bitcoin in two hypermarkets, located in the Tokyo districts of Yurakucho and Shinjuku.

Until the payment is limited to the amount of 100 thousand yen (about 900 dollars). In the case of a sustainable demand for a new service sales network will explore the possibility of introducing this system in other stores.

April 1 in Japan came into force a law that gives bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies status of means of payment. While the Japanese Council on auditing standards plans to develop a set of conditions for treatment of cryptocurrencies. On the drafting of the document is expected to take up to six months.
