The Iraq launched an attack on one of the last strongholds of ISIS

The city of Javea is one of the last territories controlled by jihadists in Iraq.

The Prime Minister of Iraq Haidar al-Abadi said government forces started the operation to liberate the town of Javea that is one of the last main cities of the militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” in Iraq.

It is noted that the town of Javea, situated at the distance of 240 kilometers North of Baghdad, is one of the last areas controlled by djihadiste in Iraq.

Earlier this month, Iraqi aircraft and coalition aircraft under the leadership of the United States intensified air strikes on bases and weapons ISIS in Javea.

Earlier in September, ISIS militants attacked a U.S. base in Iraq.

Recall that in late August, the Prime Minister of Iraq has declared victory over ISIS in tal afar and in the entire province of Nineveh.
