The manufacturer has had time to respond to comments and noted that the problem will be resolved soon.
“We know of cases where the iPhone screen X temporarily stops responding to touch after an abrupt transition in a cold environment. After a few seconds the screen again will restore fully functioning and will begin to respond. The problem will be resolved in the upcoming software update,” commented Apple.
