Snake-like organisms appeared on the shore after storms.
The inhabitants of Chukotka after storms began to find on the coast of a huge snake-like organisms. This is stated on the website of the national Park “Beringia”.
As explained by the staff of national Park, it’s not sea serpents and giant worms not: “Nereocystis Luetke (Nereocystis luetkeana) is the representative brown algae. In our seas in the form of an introduction — “American”, which is common along the Pacific coast of North America from Unalaska island to California.”
The stem of this seaweed reaches up to 25 meters in length and gradually widening towards the top. At the end of the barrel is reminiscent of a snake’s head, the bubble diameters of 20 cm. From it grow the branches to which are attached the long leaves of plates.
Nereocystis — an annual plant that is found at depths up to 20 meters. Begins to grow in February, and in December separated from the soil and “travels to the Pacific.” Most often, the trunks of the algae washes up on the Aleutian and commander Islands.
