Christine Lagarde expects Ukraine’s fulfillment of the necessary conditions until December 10.
The managing Director of the International monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde praised current level of cooperation with Ukraine and the status of the preparation of a new funding programme stand-by. In December, the Fund’s Board of Directors prepared to meet for its approval.
This is stated in the statement of Lagarde as a result of telephone negotiations with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“All the preliminary conditions (prior actions) are expected to be fulfilled by the Ukrainian authorities by 10 December, after which urgently be initiated by the Board of Directors meeting to discuss SBA program”, – stated in the message.
According to her, representatives of the IMF continue to study the key parameters of state budget of Ukraine for the year 2019. A preliminary analysis of the document is satisfactory, accordingly, the evaluation process will be completed soon.
“We confirmed a positive and mutual relationship between Ukraine and the IMF,” Lagarde stressed.
