The IMF approved a new loan to Ukraine

The Fund’s Board of Directors decided on the allocation of a new tranche of one billion dollars..

The Board of Directors of the IMF approved the allocation to Ukraine of one billion dollar loan.

This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko in Facebook.

“The Board of Directors of the IMF decided to allocate Ukraine one billion dollars. This is another recognition of the Ukrainian reforms!”, – wrote Poroshenko.

Note, the first time in the history of cooperation with the Fund received a fourth tranche from the IMF. Earlier, Kiev has suspended the implementation of new credit programs, and Fund – funding – after the first, second and once the third tranche.

According to preliminary statements by the Ukrainian authorities of the next credit tranche will be received in the international reserves of the National Bank that will contribute to the stability of the national currency – the hryvnia.
