The health Ministry denies the introduction of the controversial tax

The Agency clarified the situation surrounding perinatal centers.

Today in the morning the air “1+1” was made on the introduction in 2019 of a payment for a planned birth. According to journalists channel, this innovation provided a new draft health care reform. Payment must be made through the newly formed nationsto the national health service.

In case of lack of the ability to pay, the delivery can take for free, but giving birth does not provide a private room. If childbirth will be unscheduled, emergency care physicians will be paid by the state.

The story quickly responded the press service of the Ministry of health. By evening on the Ministry’s website posted a rebuttal voiced information.

“Medifarma does not provide for the imposition of fees for birthing. In particular, in the last edition of the bill 6327 stated: “the state guarantees citizens, foreigners and persons without citizenship, permanently residing on the territory of Ukraine as well as persons recognized as refugees or persons in need of complementary protection, the full payment due to the state Budget of Ukraine needed medical services and therapeutic agents related to the provision of medical care in childbirth and pregnancy,” the report says.

We will remind, a month ago, the parliamentary Committee recommended that the bill 6327 “On state financial guarantees medical care” to the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada. The full document can be seen here.

Under the medical reform provides for the introduction in 2019 of a paid for population services, as well as those that will be funded by the state. The reform also provides for several “pilot” projects in 2018. Among them — the introduction of payment for the labor, but it will be a woman in labor, and the national health service — maternity units directly on a single nationwide rate.
