Foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, during his visit to St. Petersburg for international economic forum, which takes place June 1-3, discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in particular, the situation in Ukraine.

“We hope that now the “Norman format” will be continued at the highest level, up to heads of state and government,” – said after meeting Gabriel.

Further, the media emphasizes that the German Minister made it clear that the condition for the lifting of sanctions will be Russia’s fulfillment of the conditions of the agreements Minsk in 2015, “from what Moscow is far”, adds the author.
