Compared to 2015-2016 years, the number of dead soldiers not on the front decreased significantly
Since the beginning of armed conflict in the Donbass killed 2307 Ukrainian troops, said the head of the General staff of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko.
According Muzhenko, in addition to 2.3 thousand Ukrainian military dead as of July 27, 8185 more were injured.
He noted that the mentioned figure does not include non-combat losses. A total of three years of anti-terrorist operation non-combat losses is 871 people.
“War always destroys people. So her nature. We have over three years of war 2307 irrecoverable losses and wounded 8185 (as at 27 July – ed). This is a purely combat losses. Non-combat – 871. To non-combat losses include the death of soldiers from disease, death from the infringement of security measures – for example, handling of weapons, a death in an accident, a suicide,” he said.
