Rosneft said that thanks to joint actions of its security service, the FSB and the interior Ministry was foiled the attempt of supporters of “Other Russia” to hold a rally at the Central office in Moscow.
One of the founders of the “Other Russia” Alexander Averin has informed that the evening of 8 February, the activists were going to hang out the banner “Capitalism is shit!” and to scatter leaflets.
In leaflets it was said that the salaries of the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin and other top managers of the company grow, while Russia’s population is impoverished. In addition, the package of shares of “Rosneft” has been sold to a Fund from Qatar — activists called it a hostile Russian government, which is accused of supporting terrorist organizations.
The protesters demanded to nationalize the company’s raw materials industry and strategic industrial enterprises.
“Rosneft” stated that “effective action to prevent provocations were made possible by the availability of information on the preparation of a series of actions with the aim of discrediting the state power, ordered and paid structures of Mikhail Khodorkovsky”.
12 activists were detained. They drew up protocols on administrative charges of violation of the rules of holding rallies. Then the detainees were released.
