Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Melnychuk believes artificial wave of criticism of the Minister of social policy Andrei Reva because of his statement that many Ukrainians spend on food.
This opinion Melnychuk expressed on his page in Facebook.
“If we put aside emotions, the reasons for collective bullying, hosted the Minister of social policy for his awkward statement in the air (of course the official of such level it is necessary to weigh each word), and especially the emergence of mass “surveys on the street” premeeting discussions and plots with comparisons of who and how many actually eat, can be as follows: ordinary meanness; preparations for the “autumn offensive”; “connecting Rod”-2 or 3 (do not remember exactly and it’s not the same with the preceding paragraph),” – says the press Secretary of the head of the government.
At the same time, Melnichuk does not exclude that it is some kind of warning about what awaits consideration of pension reform in Parliament.
“If you remember how was the vote in the first reading, consideration of amendments to the budget, and questions in the media about the number of amendments to the following reading (I think they will be less than a few hundred?), as well as indigestible statement Reva, it seems that the battle will be very serious. As well as for educational and medical reforms,” he said.
But a spokesman for Prime Minister believes that voting for the pension, education, health care reform is a chance the authorities to show the unity to all. “I know it sounds pathetic, but reform does not stop,” – said Melnychuk.
We will remind, during an interview in a TV program, Minister of social policy Reva suggested that the Ukrainians spend on food 50% of the income due to the fact that a lot of eating. According to him, our compatriots have developed such an attitude towards food because of wars and famines. “My father was considered a priority to eat well. He believed in something to deny yourself, but a healthy diet is very important. Our people have a historical tradition – the famines, the war forced them to treat the problem of the power not, as in other countries. I’m not talking about what attitude to bread is cultivated in society,” said Reva.
Social media users reacted negatively to this statement of the Minister.
