The petition to the U.S. justice Department Ukraine sent more than a year ago, but the response is not received.
Head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General Sergei Gorbatyuk confirmed that the GPU has asked the US justice Department assistance in the interrogation of the former head of the electoral headquarters of Donald trump Paul Manafort.
As told Gorbatyuk, petition the U.S. justice Department Ukraine sent more than a year ago, but the response is not received. He said that the interrogation of Manafort the GPU wants to be part of the investigation of the case against ex-Minister of justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych.
“It is the charges (in court) the ex-Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych, the embezzlement of 8.5 million, which was paid to a law firm in connection with the claim of “Tymoshenko against Ukraine” about her illegal arrest. Contacts his (Paul Manafort – Ed.) with the firm Scadden, which has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of justice, and should be questioning as a witness,” – said Gorbatyuk.
Recall Manafort left the presidential campaign of Donald trump in August 2016, after it became clear that he could illegally receive $12 million from Viktor Yanukovych, with whom he worked since 2004.
