The GPU has responded to the court’s decision in the case of Kernes

The Prosecutor has threatened criminal liability for the judge who closed the case of the Kernes.

The Prosecutor General’s office will open proceedings against judges of Andrei Antonov, August 10, dismissed the case against the mayor of Kharkiv Gennady Kernes.

This was at the briefing said the Deputy attorney General Angela Strizhevskaya.

“According to the report of the public Prosecutor, who participated in this trial, we are now solving the issue of making statements in ERDR under part 2 of article 375 of the Criminal code of Ukraine – the decision of the judge of obviously illegal decisions”, – she said.

Strizhevskaya added that the prosecution will Lodge an appeal against the decision of the Kyiv district court of Poltava and hopes for her satisfaction, since, in her opinion, the judge explained his decision to securtiy business Kernes “absolute nonsense”.

“The procedure of dropping the charges provided for in article 340 of the CCP and it has clearly defined boundaries. Sorry, fantasies about non-appearance, although the Prosecutor failed to appear for objective reasons, are not grounds to consider it a failure of prosecution,” said Strizhevskaya.

The court interpreted this as a rejection of the allegations and decided to dismiss the case.
