The deputies are suspected of tax evasion.
The Prosecutor General’s office on June 20 opened criminal proceedings against MP Stanislav Berezkin (“Revival”) under part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal code (evasion of taxes in especially large sizes).

However, according to the State fiscal service, Berezkin income for the period from 1998 to 2015 amounted to only UAH 1.7 million. In 2016, declared income amounted to 143 289 USD.
A preliminary analysis of such data indicates possible evasion of taxes and fees.
The court granted the Prosecutor’s request and granted the prosecution access to the declarations Berezkin for 2015 and 2016, as well as to written explanations submitted to them for filing corrected returns.
