The Prosecutor General’s office asks the court to authorize correspondence investigation against former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and former Minister of energy and coal industry Eduard Stavitsky.
This was announced by Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko during the conference on the return of assets.
“As for Azarov, we have completed the investigation and handed over a petition to the court on the correspondence form of condemnation. The same applies to Stavisky,” said he.
Also in the near future will be directed to court the petition on the correspondence investigation against the former acting Prime Minister Sergey Arbuzov, the former Minister of income and fees Alexander Klimenko and the businessman Sergey Kurchenko.
Concerning ex-the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yury Ivanyushchenko (Party of regions), Lutsenko noted that the investigation of criminal proceedings against him “considerably more difficult”. In particular, according to the attorney General, a key witness who testified against Ivanyushchenko in the case of raider capture of the market “the 7th kilometer” in Odessa region, at the trial he refused to testify. At the same time means the former Ivanyushchenko are under arrest and the investigation continues.
