Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko told the details of the RAID, which took place on 29 August in Nikolaev.
“In a joint operation of the GPU with the “K” of SBU in the Nikolaev detained 5 people including the leader of the stable criminal organization Titova, known in the criminal environment as “Cartoon”. These individuals are suspected of forming a criminal organization, which for 2008 – 2017 was engaged in death threats, imprisonment of people, racketeering, raiding, theft, and embezzlement of public funds,” writes Lutsenko.
Also, according to Lutsenko, the gang members gained control over the activities of political parties and influence on decision-making officials of state authorities and local self-government, supported by a stable hierarchical Association in the places of imprisonment of the Nikolaev area.
