The plan calls for 2016 problems and about 5000 events.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the plan of measures on implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union with a three-day revision by the departments concerned. The decision was taken at a government meeting on Wednesday.
Vice Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze noted that the plan provides for a 2016 task and about 5000 events.
Also, the government approved the indicative plan translation into the official language of legislative acts of the EU in 2017-2018.
In turn, the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said that Ukraine must fulfill four basic conditions for the effective implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union, in particular, to provide strong coordination between the government and the Parliament.
“Our experience suggests that you must fulfill four conditions for effective implementation of the Association Agreement. The first condition is necessary to ensure strong coordination between different ministries involved in the implementation of the Association Agreement. This means that Deputy Prime Minister and government office for European integration must be given a real possibility to ensure the coordination of such work,” he said.
Second, Mingarelli stressed in the early stages it is necessary to involve the Parliament.
“This means that, first, each year the government and Parliament should work together to determine a plan of action priority activities that should be jointly performed by both the government and BP. And second, before each session the government should clearly identify the priority measures that should be introduced in the Parliament”, – said the head of the EU delegation.
Also, according to him, should undergo regular meetings between all stakeholders: government, ministries, relevant parliamentary committees and the EU delegation in Ukraine in order to assess the state of implementation of the Association Agreement, to eliminate the obstacles that stand in the way of integration and to identify possible solutions.
“The fourth condition is necessary to ensure effective communication in relation to the Association Agreement, which would explain every Ukrainian, what are the benefits of European integration”, – said Mingarelli.
