German scientists want to send to the moon two mobile probe that can inspect the landing site the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
A private German company PTScientists announced the signing of the preliminary contract to send to the moon a standalone research module ALINA.
To achieve its goal, the group develops two key elements: responsible for the moon landing module ALINA and two Rover Audi Quattro Lunar research on the moon’s surface. The Rovers are powered by solar panels, they will be equipped with high definition cameras.
The company intends to send a mission on a Falcon 9 rocket of SpaceX in late 2017 or early 2018. Module ALINA planted near the place where in 1972 was walking astronauts of the mission Apollo 17. It is known that they left there a lunar vehicle.
The us space Agency NASA recommended that all future missions to land not closer than two kilometers from the landing places of the mission “Apollo” and do not approach them closer than 200 metres. It is with this distance the team PTScientists plans to collect data.
