The German company Andritz Hydro is implementing in Ukraine a project worth 60 million euros for the modernization of hydroelectric power station “Dnepr-1”, part of the “Ukrhydroenergo”.
“Manufacturer Andritz, which is listed on the stock exchange, attracted to Ukraine an order worth 60 million euros,” – said in a statement.
A subsidiary of Andritz Andritz Hydro will modernize the hydropower plant “Dnepr-1” state energy supplier “Ukrhydroenergo”.
Two contracts between Andritz Hydro and “Ukrhydroenergo” was signed on 23 December 2016. They provide a complete reconstruction of “turnkey” 3 units of the Dnieper HPP-1 with capacity of 75 MW, commissioned in 1932 and re-launched in 1946. The works should be completed in 2021. The project is partly financed by the EBRD.
After modernization, the share of “Ukrhydroenergo” in the energy market of the country could reach 15%. Source: http://biz.censor.net.ua/n3023324
