The General staff of the Armed forces urges soldiers not to use instant messengers in a combat zone in the Donbass.

This was stated at a briefing the chief of the signal corps Vladimir Rapko.

“Messengers like Telegram and Viber servers are located in Russia, and in principle they all remained, and WhatsApp and Skipe remains on servers in the United States. …If you have opened the messenger and use it, then it is already completely all the data about you. All these data can be used against our military, what we and they say,” said the General.

He also spoke about the dangers of iPhones.

“If you, for example, at least one time took iPhone and clicked a finger, believe me, this Iphone already you have photographed, and your fingerprints already in the database,” said Rapko.

Thus, the General staff increased awareness among the military about the dangers of using one’s own mobile phone in a combat zone, as well as on the inadmissibility of photographing with reference to the geolocation.
