In the fourth quarter of 2016, Ukraine’s GDP grew by 4.5-4.8 percent compared with the same period of 2015, said the head of the state statistics service Igor Werner.
“Based on data from different industries, we can talk about the acceleration of GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2016 and the estimated growth compared to the fourth quarter of 2015, ranges from 4.5 percent to 4.8 percent. In the third quarter of 2016, GDP grew by 2 percent,” he said.
He also noted that over the past year the average salary in Ukraine grew by 9 percent, and in December of 2016, compared to indicators Dec 2015 – by 11.6 percent.
According to him, the results of the year indicate growth trends of the economy.
