Macron replied to the petition on the Network
The President of France Emmanuel macron in response to an online petition “yellow jackets” ruled in favor of the protesters against the increase in petrol prices and expressed readiness to continue the dialogue.
Macron replied to the petition, using the service site, allowing those to whom the petition, to answer it.
“I heard your message. I answer you directly: you are right,” wrote the President Thursday, December 20.
According to him, the protesters “suffered heavy damage from higher gasoline prices and have decided to reply to this by signing the petition”.
Macron stressed that the fight against climate change needed, but should not conflict with the monthly earnings of the citizens.
The President acknowledged that he has not managed to overcome “the gap that emerged between the people and the power” after he took office.
Support of the petition macron called “civil action” and declared willingness to continue the dialogue.
An online petition posted on the website change.org an activist from the ranks of the “yellow jackets” Priscillia Ludoski. It was signed by 1.15 million people. The document contains proposals to protect the environment, not imposing on the French additional financial burden.
As you know, thousands of protests against the increase in gasoline prices organized by the movement “yellow jackets”, continues in France for more than a month. The mass protest movement organized themselves mainly via social networks and has no official representatives. The first protests were held on 17-18 November, and then spread all over the country.
