This investigation relates to the illegal VAT refunds. According to investigators, Klimenko during the period April 2012 – September 2013, occupying the post of Chairman of the Tax, took possession of the means of the state budget of Ukraine for the total amount 3,166 billion by illegal compensation of VAT to the accounts of fictitious companies, which were then distributed among the members of the criminal organization.
He is charged with committing criminal offenses under part 1 of Art. 255 (creating criminal organization), part 4 of article 28 (Commission of crime by group of persons), part 5 St. 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property), part 4 of article 28, part 2 of article 205 (fictitious business), h 4, article 28, part 1 St. 366 (forgery) of the criminal code of Ukraine.
