Azov district court of Zaporizhzhya region on August 23 sentenced the former acting head of the Mariupol city Department of the main Department of MIA of Ukraine in Donetsk region Oleg Morgun to 11 years of imprisonment for the transition to the side of the terrorist organization “DNR”.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Donetsk region.
Morgun head of the Mariupol police after the militants on may 9, 2014 took her head Andruschuka Valeria. And on may 18, Morgun took part in a press conference alongside other militants of the “DNR” seized the building of the Mariupol group of the Department for combating organized crime.
After the liberation of Mariupol and firing him from the force of the interior Ministry, wink moved to the territory controlled by fighters in the Donetsk region, joined there in “DNR” and in March 2015 even headed the administration Novoazovskiy district.
In may of the same year the public Prosecutor brought an indictment against Wink to the court, which two years later found the former policeman guilty of a criminal offense under part 1 article 258-3 (participation in a terrorist organization) the Criminal code of Ukraine and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
