Official Kyiv supports the readiness of the authorities of Spain to the political dialogue.
Ukraine officially considers a referendum on Catalan independence is illegitimate. This was stated by the speaker of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Marian Betz.
According to her, the foreign Ministry is confident that Spain will be able to democratically resolve internal problems.
Betz also said that Ukraine supports the readiness of the authorities of Spain to the political dialogue to restore law and order and stability within the constitutional framework of the country.
“We are convinced that Spain is one of the leaders of democracy in the world, based on a solid Foundation of democratic traditions and values, which led to a peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy, and subsequently, to the membership in NATO and the EU is a democratic way to solve all the pressing problems of political life,” she said.
The foreign Ministry assured that Ukraine is in favour of unconditional respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all States within internationally recognized borders and their compliance with the fundamental principles and norms of international law.
