The official premiere of the Volkswagen Polo will be held in Berlin.
In the Internet appeared the first official photos of the hatchback Volkswagen Polo of new generation, which will premiere on Friday in Berlin. Images first published on the resource Wheelsage, where were subsequently removed. Image managed to keep the online edition Carscoops.
The next Polo will be built on a modular platform MQB A0, which already underpins the new Seat Ibiza. Thanks to the new chassis model will be much easier and a little bit of overall predecessor. Space for rear passengers feet will increase significantly.
On the published pictures show the “charged” GTI-hatchback version, and a version with a sporty body kit R-Line. Judging by the photos, the first one will get the other bumpers with black detailing, a spoiler on the trunk lid and special rims.
The new Volkswagen Polo GTI will be equipped with two-liter “turboservice” from the current Golf GTI. The engine, the output of which will be about 200 HP, will allow the compact hatchback to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in about six seconds. The main rival hot hatch will be Ford Fiesta ST.
In the engine range will include the standard Polo three-cylinder petrol engines of one liter capacity from 65 to 115 horsepower. In addition, the lineup will include two new 1.5-liter engine developing 130 and 150 forces. Diesel engines will be presented to the 1.6-liter “four” with a capacity of 80 to 110 power.
For the Polo will be available a new infotainment system with a large touchscreen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an auto Park Pilot. It is not excluded that the top model will complement the fully digital instrument panel diagonal of 12.3 inches.
