The first racket of the world Rafael Nadal in a three-set winner marathon sensationally lost to David Goffin, who in one fell swoop scored two landmark achievements, the first time defeating Nadal and winning his first victory over the leader of the ATP ranking.
Goffin was able to win in two sets, the second set not first filed in the match, and then at the reception he failed to convert four set-balls. In the final set, Goffin led 4:1 and did not allow Nadal to get back in the game.

In the second match of the day also won the ATP Finals debutant Grigor Dimitrov in 2 hours and 22 minutes coped with Dominic and Tim made application for the semi-finals.
