Prices for travel in electric vehicle will remain unchanged.
Since the beginning of February in the city of Lviv bus fare will rise to 7 UAH. prices for travel in electric vehicle will remain unchanged. About this today during the briefing said the Deputy mayor concerning housing and communal services Sergey Babak.
Lviv city Council will consider a decision on the fare increase at a meeting on Friday, January 25, it will enter into force after publication in the press – roughly, 1-2 February.
“Economically reasonable rate of 8.21 today is UAH. Under the legislation, local authorities set tariffs on bus transportation, and the tariff should be economically justified. If the rate is set smaller, the difference should carriers be compensated. We have to compensate the funds provided in the budget. We understand that prices are often unaffordable, the components of the tariff have risen and spare parts and fuel and so on”, – said Babak.
The official noted that the city Council will compensate for the difference in cost from the city budget: this and the free transportation of pensioners and invalids in city budget of 240 million USD. However, it is not just about buses but also about other forms of public transport.
Babak added that city Council has no plans in coming months to raise the fare in electrotransport.
