The famous singer was accused of plagiarism

Defendants accused of plagiarism for the song 2016.

The court of first instance of Madrid has accepted to consideration the claim against a recording Studio, Sony Music Publishing Latina and singers Shakira and Carlos Vives.

Defendants accused of plagiarism for the song 2016. The plaintiff was a Cuban composer Lebanon Rafael Castellanos Valdes.

According to him, Shakira and Vives without the permission of the used elements of his song Yo te quiero tanto in his song La bicicleta, the release of which took place in may 2016. The track became a hit, the video for it has garnered over 700 million views on YouTube.

It is noted that earlier the sides tried to come to an agreement, but has not achieved the result.

Lebanon Rafael Castellanos Valdes wrote Yo te quiero tanto in 1997.
