Famous Russian Director Nikita Mikhalkov, who has repeatedly supported the annexation of Crimea, believes that the Peninsula was Russian “for centuries”.
He stated this at a press conference of the festival in Yalta “Eurasian bridge”.
“The principle for us is that this is a legitimate Russian festival on the territory of the Russian Federation. I understand that this causes a lot of controversy, is the reason for the sanctions and so on, but the time – the sister of truth,” he says.

Mikhalkov said that “time will pass and all will become clear that they could not and should not be otherwise.” “Crimea deserve to be considered by Russia for centuries,” said the odious Director.
