Putin delayed the completion of construction.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has postponed the commissioning of the nuclear-powered icebreaker “Arktika” from 2017 to 2019.
The reason was problems with the equipment – the test equipment was to hold Kharkov turbine plant.
“The key issue “Arctic” steel turbine. They had experience of the Ukrainian Kharkov turbine plant, but after 2014, the stand had to be built on the “Kirov-Energomash” (CAM). A government source says … at the stand of the Cam passes the test of the first turbine, the second must be tested by October”, – writes the edition.
The contractors complain about staffing problems, a large time gap in the implementation of such projects, loss of competencies, processing of technical design and documentation.
A source in Rosatom is confident that despite the postponement of the completion of the project, the icebreaker in the middle of 2019 will still not surrender and the terms will again have to move.
Recall the construction of the “Arctic” of the Russian budget has allocated $ 600 million. The project implementation began in 2013.
