Russia dropped out of the list of the main importers of Ukrainian products.
In January-September 2017 the volume of export of Ukraine of meat products increased by almost half. It is reported by the national scientific center Institute of agrarian Economics with reference to the corresponding member of NAAS of Nikolai Pugachev.
“Thanks to the continuing wide geographic diversification and consolidation of new markets after the loss of the Russian maintained a positive trend of increasing exports of meat and offal”, – stated in the message.
In monetary terms, the exports increased from 271 million to $ 397 million dollars. If, before 2015, the position of the main importer of Ukrainian meat and offal was held by Russia, is now dominated by supplies to the markets of Europe and Asia.
For the first nine months of 2017 the greatest number of Ukrainian meat products purchased Egypt (17.1 per cent), the Netherlands (14,3%), Iraq (8.8 per cent), Belarus (8.4%) and Azerbaijan (7.6 per cent).
Permanent major importers are Hong Kong, Germany, Georgia and Kazakhstan.
