In the city, Rai-bareli (Uttar Pradesh, India) at the power plant exploded boiler.
The blast at least 18 people were killed and about 100 were injured.
Many received severe burns. The number of victims may increase. It is assumed that many are trapped inside the unit, which began work in March 2017.
The power plant has suspended work. At the scene directed a team of National forces to respond to natural disasters to assist in the rescue work.
Victims are given help in two hospitals, including the campus of the state company NTPC, which owns the plant. Those who have the most severe burns, was taken to hospital in Lucknow, which is about 110 km from Rai-bareli.
