In recent days the dollar exchange rate in Ukraine decreased significantly.
The rapid depreciation of the dollar due to the holidays and the Eurovision competition.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of economy of Ukraine, expert Viktor Suslov.
“The objective economic prerequisites for the growth of the hryvnia and the fall of the dollar is not. Due to the fall holidays, with buying in different currencies, as people sell dollars to go on vacation. It is possible to predict that such stability of the exchange rate will be maintained until August, then the fall of the dollar traditionally jump up,” – explains the expert.
Viktor Suslov also suggests that the depreciation of the currencies associated with the upcoming Eurovision song contest. Likely that rate to drop even more.
“When the competition starts, will come a significant number of foreigners who arrived in the country a lot of currency. This rate may further be reduced, and it will be associated with a significant increase of foreign currency supply on the market”, – said Viktor Suslov.
