The expert explained what is happening in relations between Russia and the United States

According to experts, the current situation is nothing more than a diplomatic war.

A diplomatic row between the US and Russia arose from the intervention in the last presidential election in America. So, in early 2017, the U.S. government deported 35 Russian diplomats and shut down two Russian dipuchrezhdeniya in America. In the summer the worsening of the crisis provoked US sanctions against Russia. Today what is happening between the two countries is a diplomatic war. This was told by political analyst Volodymyr Fesenko.

“When closed diplomatic missions in the country, sent diplomats – this is called diplomatic war. This is clearly an obvious sign of deterioration in bilateral relations, with a serious deteriorating,” he said.

As noted Fesenko, in early 2017, the US government headed by ex-President Barack Obama has deported 35 Russian diplomats on charges of intelligence activities and shut down two Russian diplomatic institutions in the U.S. on the same basis.

“Retaliatory steps were taken by the Russians after was voted and signed the law on sanctions, – said the expert, Technically it was a retaliatory move on the part of Russians for the actions that were taken against their diplomatic service in January”.
In this case, since the reduction by Russia of American diplomatic missions was massive, the US has taken the appropriate action. The expert notes that all of these events were consistent with a chain reaction in the diplomatic war between the two countries.

According to Fesenko, a negative scenario of development of events there. However, the expert believes that prior to the termination of diplomatic relations will not come – will not do it, neither Russia nor the United States.

“Both sides came very close to the red line, after which there is, in fact, the freezing of bilateral relations. But I think, given the fact that we are talking about two superpowers with nuclear weapons, besides there are other issues the US and Russia will not agree to further deteriorate,” – said Fesenko.

The expert suggests that some steps taken by both countries can still be taken, but most likely, the parties will try to reach some agreement.
