The EU urged Russia not to deny blame in the crash of the Boeing

Russia urged to cooperate and not to interfere with the investigation process.

The European Union (EU) calls upon the Russian Federation (RF) to accept responsibility for the disaster flight MH17 in the Donbas. This is stated in the statement of the EU High representative for foreign Affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini.

As reported, today, July 17, the fourth anniversary of the disaster MH17. It is noted that the EU fully supports the UN security Council resolution, which contains a requirement that the person responsible for the crash of MH17 on 17 July 2014, was held accountable and that all States cooperate fully to establish the circumstances of the disaster.

“A joint investigation team on may 24, presented the results of their independent, professional and impartial investigation, concluding that the Buk missile used to shoot down MH17, without a doubt, belongs to the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Against this background, we will continue to call upon the Russian Federation to accept responsibility and to cooperate fully to establish the circumstances”, – said in a statement.

We will remind, earlier the foreign Ministry of Ukraine announced further assistance in the investigation of the MH17 disaster.

Note that yesterday the foreign Ministers of the “Big seven” (G7) called on Russia to cooperate with the investigation to establish the circumstances of the crash MH17.
