The Union will not accept the basic provisions of a trading plan in the UK after Brexit.
Negotiator of EU Affairs Brexit Michel Barnier called unacceptable the major provisions of the plan in the UK regarding the conditions of exit from the block. About it reports AFP.
“Chief negotiator of the EU, Michel Barnier warned that the two main provisions of the trading plan UK after Brexit unacceptable”, – stated in the message.
Barnier stressed that, in General, the British government plan agreed on 6 July, there are many positive aspects, but the EU does not agree with the proposals of the London customs agreements and common set of rules for industrial goods.
According to the negotiator of the EU, the exit of Britain from the block was agreed at 80%, but the deal runs the risk to fall due to the inability to agree on the status of the border between Ireland and British Northern Ireland.
