The EU has put forward an ultimatum to the UK for the transition to the second phase of negotiations for a Brexit.
About it reports AFP referring to the representative of the EU’s Brexit Michel Barnier.
It noted that the country needs in the next two weeks to declare its position regarding certain issues in the negotiations on Brexit if London wants to unlock the next stage of negotiations in December.
Barnier said that Britain was “essential” to increase their financial commitments to the European Union. To date, the amount of claims of the EU to London is 60 billion euros.

A referendum on British membership in the EU was held on 23 June 2016. Victory with a score of 51,9% was won by the supporters of Brexit.
