The EU lifted some sanctions against Russia

Sanctions lifted for joint space projects.

The EU brought out from under sanctions transactions for the purchase or sale of Russian rocket fuel hydrazine required for the flight to Mars.

The relevant decision published in the Official journal of the EU.

It entered into force on Saturday, December 2.

It is noted that the operations of hydrazine is allowed provided that it is designed for test and flight module in the framework of the ExoMars mission ExoMars 2020.

As is known, Russia and the European Union are working on a joint project that must result in a flight to Mars.
