The EU Council extended sanctions against North Korea.
The decision was taken in accordance with the resolution of the UN security Council on 11 September, according to the website of the EU Council.
This resolution was adopted on 11 September 2017 in response to the activities of the DPRK to develop nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, violating and blatantly ignoring previous resolutions of the UN Security Council, the statement reads.
The measures provided for in resolutions of the UN security Council that include a ban on the sale of natural gas liquids in North Korea and on the import of textiles.
The new sanctions include restrictions on the sale to North Korea of oil products and crude oil, and the citizens of the DPRK can not rely on work permits on the territory of member countries.
