The main investors were Cyprus and Britain.
EU countries since the beginning of the year invested in the Ukrainian economy 597,3 million dollars, which is 84% of the total investment over the same period last year. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of economy.
It is noted that the main investors from the EU to Ukraine were Cyprus (287,1 million) and the UK (160,1 million dollars).
The Ministry noted that as of July 1, 2017 the total volume of direct foreign investments (share capital) amounted to 38,981 billion dollars, including investments from the EU – 27,387 billion (70.3% of the total volume).
At the same time, the total volume of Ukrainian investments in the member countries of the EU is 6,092 billion dollars, which is 95,6% from the total volume of Ukrainian investments in the countries of the world. Most Ukrainian investment in Cyprus (5,931 billion, 97,4% of the total investments in the EU), Latvia (73,2 million dollars, 1.2%) and Poland ($51.1 million, 0.8 percent).
