Macro-financial assistance will be allocated in two equal tranches.
Council of the European Union on Tuesday, may 29, approved the allocation of Ukraine of the fourth macro-financial assistance program in the lower 1 billion euros. This was reported on the website of the EU Council.
It is noted that the new program provides for the payment Ukraine two tranches each in the amount of 500 million euros.
Now the decision must be approved at the session of the European Parliament.
Recall that in the first two programs of macro-financial assistance for 2014-2015 the European Commission has provided Ukraine with 1.61 billion euros.
The third program started in the summer of 2015 with a tranche of 600 million euros. The second tranche of similar size had been allocated in the spring of 2017, and the third was never received due to the inability of the authorities to comply with the EU requirements.
