The EU Ambassador responded to a trade blockade of Donbass.
The head of the EU delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli expressed concern about the situation with the blocking of the railway to Donbass.
According to him, such actions in the first place civilians suffer on both sides of the demarcation line.
“Of course we worry because of the blockade of the railway, which occurs in the last two weeks. We know that this is a difficult situation. We know that there is a lot of smuggling on the contact line…But what is happening in the past weeks indicates that the first victim – a population that is on both sides of the line of collision. And this is something that should not happen,” – said the European diplomat.
Recall, January 25, veterans of the ATO blocked Railways Lugansk-Lysychansk-Popasna at the site of the mountain of gold to curb trade in illegal armed formations. The participants of the blockade, said that will not let the metal, coal, wood, and industrial consignment of alcohol and cigarettes.
