The market for LPG does not apply to the responsibility of the energy Ministry, said Nasalik.
The conduct of economic relations and regulation of the market of liquefied gas does not belong to the sphere of responsibility of the Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine.
It became known of it during meeting of the interdepartmental working group on functioning of the market of oil and oil products and development the refining industry.
“The business relations and market regulation does not apply to the responsibility of the Ministry,” said Minister of energy Igor Nasalik.
According to him, the task of the Ministry is to implement the Energy strategy up to 2035 and the development of a regulatory framework that will facilitate the process of implementation.
Deputy Minister Igor Prokopiv noted the need to urgently address issues related to the establishment of insurance reserves of liquefied natural gas, and diversify supply of oil products and stimulating the development of infrastructure for the production and storage of liquefied natural gas, settlement of the problems of transport functioning of the market and improve interagency cooperation.
The head of the Ministry also stressed that there are a number of agreements with foreign partners, in particular with Iran on the supply of oil and noted that “Ukrtransnafta” ready to diversify oil supplies to refineries.
Following the meeting, members of the Interagency working group have agreed to prepare in the shortest time given and measures to stabilize the situation on the market of liquefied gas.
